What is the National Black Business Trade Association (NBBTA)?
A Black business
membership and networking organization. Our
membership includes experienced professionals and
business owners as well as those just starting out
who are interested in expanding their businesses.
Our core philosophy is based on relationship
marketing. We strongly believe that in helping
others to realize their goals, dreams and ambitions,
you will realize your own.
NBBTA
is a community of motivated business
professionals. It is where:
1) professionals develop new leads to business, 2) members become part of a unique community of entrepreneurial professionals, and 3) members develop lasting relationships with other professionals in related fields. 4)tools for success are a part of the membership package.
About Our Members?
We seek and draw
energetic members. Many of whom are new. And others
with experience. Both with an interest in growing
their businesses. Our members include: business
owners and entrepreneurs, SOHO, SODO and home-based,
any professional that services a business,
accountants, attorneys, financial planners,
insurance agents, real estate professionals,
executive consultants, and marketing and sales
professionals and MLM distributors.

NBBTA is a non-profit, self-help resource
and networking organization dedicated to
improving the
quality of life in the Black community by
uplifting, inspiring and promoting Black businesses
and entrepreneurship, through networking, seminars,
expos, the Internet, publications, access to capital
and technological support.
What all this means in a nutshell is that we are here for you. Our business is your business. By using us you will save time and money accessing information, capital and the network of people you need to succeed.
Everyone of African descent who is in business should be proud to register their membership with us. For years, owning a "black" business had a negative stereo-type cast upon it. In the minds of most people, Black businesses were limited to "mom & pop" shops, or vendors of African artifacts and tee shirts only.
While those are honorable pursuits, Black business is much more than that. In recent years that mindset is changing. But more work needs to be done to tell the "real" story.

Black businesses have developed in every sector of the economy worldwide and its time that we honor and recognize ourselves and our accomplishments. Its time that we promote our own entrepreneurial "heroes" and "sheroes".
Check out some of those success stories in our "Black Entrepreneur's Hall of Fame". You will be inspired by the insights you gain from those who have been in similar situations as you and have achieved greatness nevertheless.

Why Should I Join As a Member?
Why not? If you're in business you should be a member of some organization. If you're a Black business you should be a member of NBBTA.
According to internet research firm, Alexa.com, NBBTA is one of the most popular Black organizations online. Currently we're in the top ten.
If you take the time to do a Google search looking any "Black business organization", we're currently listed as the number one choice.
If you were looking to be identified as a Black business and wanted someone to find you in a "Black business directory" and they did a search, NBBTA would currently be listed as the number one choice.
If you just typed in "Black business", we'd be in the top three choices and have been for years.
Think about it. If you're in business and are Black and want Black consumers to find you, NBBTA is a great place to be listed. As a member, you will be listed in our Black Business Directory as a part of your membership.

Can I Make Money with NBBTA?
The Affiliate Plan that pays out 50% of our membership dues to affiliate who participate and enroll. The Black Business Builders Plan in only $14 and pays a commission of $10 for each new paid referral. These income generators are optional.
How Do I Join Your Association?
Most prospective members are referred to us by an existing member. If you just stopped by and were not referred you can simply click on the Membership Card below. Our server is 100% secured for your protection. You can use any major credit card, check, PayPal or AlertPay. You will receive your Membership Information in a few minutes upon receipt.
What is the Cost to Join Your Association?
Established businesses, start-ups, independent contractors, home-based professionals, service professionals, consultants, SOHO, students and consumers all join by simply making a one-time payment of $59.95.
Our benefits are first-class and allow you the opportunity to grow your business and network with others offline as well as online.
There is also FREE Affiliate program associated with membership that pays you $30 for each new member you refer through your NBBTA Membership Affiliate site.
Do I Have to Buy Anything to Remain A Member?
No. Any additional purchases you make are optional. We offer a host of services such as Internet access, web hosting, financial services, telecommunications, marketing, business consulting and more.
These services are available to you as a member at any time. Any fees or cost associated with these offers are usually discounted to save you money. We also encourage you to do business with other members and encourage other members to do business with you.
Do I Have to Own my Own Business to Be a Member?
No. The information, inspiration and guidance you receive from NBBTA will help you regardless of your profession and whether or not you own a business. Many people join to show solidarity and support for Black business issues as well as for the money making opportunity.
In addition, there many tax advantages associated with having a home-based business, as a member you'll learn how important it is for you to have one.
How long has NBBTA been in business?
The company was formed in August, 1993 as a non-profit educational organization. We have been on the Internet since 1995. We have evolved over the years by providing other programs and services to suit the needs of our growing membership.
We also have a very successful Black networking community, Black Business Space, feel free to stop by set up your profile and network there as well. You'll meet a lot of our members, who can help answer any other questions you may have.
In local markets, we want to again host networking events called "Connections!" and entrepreneurial workshops called, "Black Entrepreneurial Success Training" (B.E.S.T.) workshops, bringing together hundreds of business owners and entrepreneurs each month.
We are continuing to rapidly grow and have been recognized by many major media outlets including Black Enterprise Magazine, Essence Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Chicago Sun-Time, Chicago Tribune, and New York Post. Many major Universities including Howard University, Harvard University, Stanford University, Georgetown University, Yale University and Hampton University.
