In planning and analyzing programs for the creation and generation of wealth within and for the Black community; two basic concepts need to be understood. A. CULTURE is our foundation, SPIRITUALITY is our infrastructure, and MONEY is our tool for the continued creation and maintenance of WEALTH. B. WEALTH is the bringing together of all resources to the general benefit of family, community and race. The true substance of wealth is its use for the betterment of the total society and not just for some narrow individualistic pursuit of material possessions. True wealth creates FREEDOM. A free people are able to feed, clothe, shelter, educate, employ and protect themselves. Only FREE PEOPLE are truly respected. It is our God-given right to be free. The businesses of our community are key to our economic future.
