Three Basic Ways to Make Money Online ...

posted by Lee Green, Administrator, Group AdministratorSunday, December 20th 2009 @ 11:03 AM (1 ratings)    post viewed 1221 times

There are about three basic ways to make money online:

1. You can sell traffic (Adsense, etc.)

2. You can sell someone else's products (Affiliate Programs)

3. You can sell your own products.

But you usually can't do everything and expect to do anything well.

I believe the one thing that stands between you and the
online business you dream about is focus...

It's funny (kinda) ...

When people ask me why they're failing online, I offer to
look at what they're currently doing and 9 times out of 10,
they send me to a web page promoting at least 20 different
affiliate products with flashing banners everywhere.

You know what the underlying problem is?

Lack of focus.

The point is...

Choose one proven business model and stick with it until
it's profitable.

Choose one proven method of generating traffic and stick
with it until it's profitable.

Stop jumping from one thing to the next and giving up before
you actually see some results.

You may have to...

- lose a lot of money on Google...
- write over 100 articles...
- make 100 forum posts...
- create 100 Adsense pages...
- get 1000 subscribers on your list...

...before you ever see your first sale.

But if you stick with it and stay focused on your goal, you
will see results.

You can also join the Black Business Builders Club to shorten your learning curve and "earn while you learn".

You're right Lee for sure.

As a newbie coming into this IM thing earlier this year, I bought just about every e-book, and signed up for every newsletter, thinking I just might luck up and find "the winning ticket" (IM course).

I was jumping from one thing to another, never sticking around long enough to bear fruit in any one thing.

Then I started to noticed a common theme in some of the e-books and courses. They were talking about making money with google adsense, affiliate marketing and building a list, and of course they had their affiliate links in the e-books. I started to get information overload and focus was no where to be found.

Finally after spending a few thousands of dollars it started to click that I needed to focus my attention in one or two areas and get good at them before moving on.

My current marketing venture, has brought me some money so I know it can work, I will need to give more attetion to it in the new year, because if you can make a little money with something, you probably, with a little extra effort, can make a lot of money with it also.

My mlm mentor (Dale Calvert) always uses the example of sending a new prospect to your mlm company website, where there are so many options on the site that it tends to confuse the prospect and they leave the site without joining or making a purchase. As he says a confused mind will never make the correct or successful desicions.

As you stated we have to focus on one thing and become successful at it, before moving on to something else.

Thanks for the tips and the BBB Club.

Thanks Lee for that advice..I do believe you are so right..focusing on to many things at once will get you confused.. you can't concentrate on 3 and 4 things at one time it just won't work because I've try it and it 's definitly not working for me...

I decided to just find something I like and focus just on it as you suggested and I bet I will see results as long as I don't give it up to soon.. it just makes sense to put your focus on one thing at a time..BBBC is teaching me lots and thats one thing I will never give up on and with all the positive information you supply the members you can't help but love this Club..

Thank for that postLaughing

Lee,

This is great advice.  One of the problems people who're trying to earn money online face is wanting it NOW.  They fail to realize that an online business is no different from any other.  I will say that I've done some things online that made me money that didn't take a long amount of time to learn, but I'm not making the money that I want to see either.  What we put into our online money making efforts will have a great impact on what we reap from them.

I can understand how others feel when they know money can be made online.  They find a niche and run with it.  They sign up for a multitude of affiliate products and pretty soon have more affiliate links then they know what to do with.  It is hard to wait when the desire and need for money is great.  My suggestion to others is that you slowly learn and develop your online business.  Don't expect to get rich overnight.  Understand from the very beginning that it will take a great amount of time, effort, trial and error to succeed online.  But, do not give up!  Once you've learned the correct skills and focus on one thing, you will see success.

Hi Mr. Lee,

Very well stated.  From experience, you must focus in on what you want success from.  When I first started out in Internet Marketing, I was all over the place(lol).  Now I have systems in place that I monitor.  If I identify that something is not working, I make changes to my various systems.  Now I just focus on a couple of businesses and seeing positive impact.  Another thing I learned is that you must build relationships.  People must trust you in order to buy from you MOST of the time.  One may get a hit here and there, but it will not last for long.  You also must focus on your existing customers instead of trying to GET the WHOLE world to buy from you(lol).  If you make that one customer/client happy, they will seek you out again and again.

Thanks for another GREAT post........Cool

Thanks for sharing.  As stated on tonight's training call, we have to step it up or get left in the dust.  I've adopted the "Just Do It" attitude.

Thanks lee for sharing that info.

For some reason, I was unable to open it up from here.  However if you felt it was important to show, I felt it was important for me to hear it.  I was able to search and find it on the internet of course.  What he had to say was right on point (It is also what you have been saying to).  Thanks again.
